film projector & projectionist

When I made a small video clip of film projector using my mobile phone, I’d no idea that it would be the most successful video on my youtube channel. More than 12.5 lac views so far. I was exploring film projector in Bareilly & booking clerk of Hind Talkies directed me to Jagat Talkies. Ganga, Jamuna, Saraswati was being run & I met Veerpal, the assistant operator in projection room. He has the memories of touring talkies, which decided his course of life as a projectionist. I shot him working on machine & promised to come back with proper equipments. And when I reached there after few months, I found they too have discarded the old machine & have switched to UFO. I couldn’t document the machine on my camera.
